WHAT IS ULTRASONIC CAVITATION & RADIO FREQUENCY BODY CONTOURING?

Ultrasound Technology which destroys intractable fat cells, using low-frequency sound waves without causing damage to any other tissues or organs. Once the fat cell membrane (adipose tissue) is destroyed, the fat is discharged between the cells where they are turned into protein and then changed to free fatty acids and glycerol. Free fatty acids are moved to the liver where they decay and are removed from the body.

Radio Frequency Technology to lift and tighten the skin. The frequency penetrates the epidermis and heats the dermis. In response to the collagen, fibers begin contracting and remodeling, effectively thickening and leading to immediate results. Additional collagen fibers synthesis occurs due to the healing process of the skin, induced by the heat. Over time this will continue, gradually improving the quality of your skin and a decrease in deep wrinkles.

WHEN ARE RESULTS VISIBLE?

There are 2 parts to this treatment-

ULTRASONIC CAVITATION
This type of therapy targets and destroys subcutaneous fat cells in the fat cell membranes through a series of microscopic implosions. Clients experience a reduction of several cms in circumference after the first treatment.

RADIO FREQUENCY
Controlled collagen heating produces immediate collagen contraction, so some results will be seen immediately post treatment. The subsequent repair and remodeling of this deep collagen produce a continuing effect over the next 3- 6 months.

Ultrasonic Cavitation also is known as Ultrasound Liposuction and Ultra Cavitation is a non-surgical fat removal procedure. Unlike a traditional tummy tuck or liposuction, in ultrasonic cavitation, there are no knives, no anesthesia, and no surgery.

A relatively new technique, Ultrasound Cavitation is used predominantly for fat reduction. Cavitation is a natural phenomenon based on low frequency ultrasound and is the sculpting of the body without the need for anaesthetic. It is a risk free procedure avoiding scars, discomfort and downtime and is seen as a safe alternative to liposuction. The ultrasound produces a strong wave of pressure that target the fat cell membranes. The membranes cannot stand the pressure thus disintegrating into a liquid state which is naturally eliminating, resulting in instant fat loss.

The procedure starts with circumference measurement of the target body area, applies the ultrasonic device directly to specific areas of the skin after a gel is applied, continues with circular movements of the applicator over the treatment site, for a Combo session a Radio Frequency hand piece is used which is slowly rotated over the targeted area, transmitting radio waves to the skin heating it 40 to 50 degrees Celsius without burning the skin surface. The heat causes contraction of the collagen fibers to immediately tighten the skin. Then finalized with another circumference measurement. The duration of treatment session normally takes around 15-30 minutes each depending on the size of the area and the thickness of the fat layer Results can sometimes be noticed after the first treatment with more improvement noticed within a few days. 6 - 12 sessions at 72 hour intervals are recommended in order to achieve an ideal result, but further treatments may be needed to attain your desired figure.

Ultrasound Cavitation is a non-surgical, natural phenomenon based on low-frequency ultrasound. The ultrasound field when applied to the targeted area creates bubbles in the liquid that surrounds fat cells, which gradually grow and implode. Membranes of fat cells do not have the structural capacity to withstand the vibrations so the effect of cavitation easily breaks them, while sparing the vascular, nervous and muscular tissue.

Ultrasound Cavitation causes an emulsification of the solid fat substances, releasing the triglyceride fluid, which is easy to eliminate through the lymphatic system. After disruption and emulsification of fat cells, liquid which makes up the fat cells, in the form of triglycerides, is released into the fluid between the cells. This fluid is then metabolized. Water soluble glycerol is absorbed by the circulatory system and used as an energy source, whereas the insoluble, free fatty acids are transported to the liver and processed as fatty acids from food.

The ultrasound-cavitation filed creates bubbles in the liquid that surround the fat cells, which gradually grow, and implode. As the membranes of fat cells do not have the structural capacity to withstand the vibrations, the effect of ultrasonic cavitation easily breaks them, while sparing the vascular, nervous and muscular tissue.

A specially designed hand piece is applied to the target area by a therapist. The hand piece transmits strong low level ultrasonic waves which consist of a compression – expansion method which travel in high speed cycles. Rotating this cycle, back and forth will cause an infinite quantity of micro-cavities (micr-bubbles) to enlarge. It is the progressive enlargement of the micro-cavities that turn to collision & implosion, producing emission of shockwaves that favour emulsification & elimination of the fat tissues in the target area (this phenomena is called ‘cavitation’). The lymphatic & urinary system easily vacuum’s this liquid from the body, resulting in fat reduction.

RF is an effective way to improve skin tightness and elasticity, reduce wrinkles and cellulite, boosting the overall condition on areas of the body such as the face, chin, upper arm, abdomen, thighs, bra line or buttocks. The technique induces tissue remolding and production of new collagen and elastin. The process provides an alternative to facelift and other cosmetic services. RF can be used on clients who have had botox, dermal fillers, laser treatments. Clients must wait at least one week before any treatments are performed.
Radio Frequency (RF) systems utilise a handpiece that is slowly rotated over the treatment area. The handpiece transmits radio waves through the upper layers of the skin to the dermis, heating it to between 39-45°c while the epidermis remains undamaged and unaffected.

The act of applying this heat to the dermis triggers three excellent benefits:

  1. Tissue retraction – The heat causes local contraction of the collagen fibres, which immediately tightens the skin to reveal a lifted, tighter and more youthful appearance.

  2.  New collagen formation – Heating the dermis stimulates production of new collagen which is essential in the battle against signs of ageing. Increased collagen equals plumper, firmer skin with a greater level of elasticity.

  3. Improved circulation – RF also improves the blood and lymphatic flow. This helps induce a better oxygen supply and greater toxin clearance to further reduce the signs and effects of ageing.
Most people feel the treatment is painless and comfortable. Some people may feel slight discomfort due to the specific noise spreading inside the body, but causes no, harm and disappears as soon as the applicator is moved away from body. You may also experience warmth during the treatment. If on the slim chance it gets too warm you can request, immediately some extra ultrasound gel to be applied.
Cavitation and RF is a painless treatment. Mild redness may appear occasionally but will be highly unlikely to cause any actual pain. The heat from the hand pieces felt during the treatment is perfectly tolerable.
The size of the fat cells in each person can differ greatly, regardless of size or weight but the number of fat cells are the same. Fat is primarily stored inside adipocytes as triglycerides and can be found between the muscles and the skin membrane.
The ultrasound cavitation causes an emulsification of fat, it rupture fat cell membrane, thereby releasing its fat content, converting it into a substance easy to eliminate through sweat gland, liver sausage circulation, lymphatic system which eventually eliminate through urine.

Excess fat is released in to the interstitial space between the cells during and following the cavitation treatment.  Here it is metabolised to glycerol and fatty free acids.  Glycerol that is water-soluble is absorbed by the circulatory system and used as an energy source.  The insoluble fatty free acids are transported via the liver and kidneys and processed as if fatty acids from foods and then eliminated naturally from the body.
Typically a single fat cavitation session lasts forty minutes when treating a single part of the body.  A minimum of 72 hours is required between each session so the body can finish the elimination of the fat.  For the best fat reduction results, between six and ten sessions is recommended.
All areas with localised fat such as thighs, abdomen and the buttocks are the most appropriate to be treated.  The treatment works on Cellulite, the reduction of general fat and for skin tightening.  For Cellulite the ultra sound focuses on the superficial fat tissue.  Best results are achieved when the ultrasound is applied in conjunction with the radio frequency.

Upper and Lower Abdomen, Hips, Love Handles/Flanks, Inner and Outer Thighs, Upper Arms/Bingo Wings, Bra and Backs Rolls, Buttocks, Baby Bulges and can also be used areas as small as the chins and knees. This treatment can be used to reduce "man boobs" but cannot be used to treat female breast tissue or Gynecomastia.
Treating multiple areas is not advisable as the body has to work hard to remove the excess fat that is now passing through the Lymphatic system to the liver and may also not be effective. Follow the rule, of one area, one treatment every 72 hours and you will see rapid results.
Please check that your BMI falls in the treatable range and should be no more than 30. Significant obesity is outside the treatment range for the contouring and styling effects of ultrasonic liposuction. Also some medical conditions and drugs will make some clents unsuitable to benefit from treatments.

A full assessment during the pre-treatment consultation will determine your suitability. People who experience cardiac or vascular diseases, carry a pacemaker should avoid this type of procedure. Similarly, if you are pregnant or breast feeding. If you are in any doubt, please consult with your GP.

People who are generally healthy are safe to have the treatment
People with cardiac and vascular diseases, diabetes, acute illness, comprised liver function, severe bleeding tendencies, pacemaker carriers and women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should avoid undergoing the procedure
Your Therapist with discuss this with you when you have your initial consultation over the phone as several conditions can exclude patients from therapy.

Unfortunately, treatment isn't suitable for everyone. Please check that your BMI falls in the treatable range and should be no more than 30. Significant obesity is outside the treatment range for the contouring and styling effects of ultrasonic liposuction. Also some medical conditions and drugs will make some clients unsuitable to benefit from treatments.

NB This treatment is not suitable if you are on your period as Ultrasound increases blood flow and this may feel very uncomfortable.

You will NOT be able to start Ultra Cavitation treatment before consulting your doctor, if any of the below apply:

Cancer: Cancer cells travel via the lymphatic system, as does waste produced by Ultrasound Cavitation. A treatment presents an unacceptable risk of helping to move cancer cells.
Cold or flu symptoms or fever: Ultrasound Cavitation releases toxins from the body via the lymphatic system, and treatments can exacerbate flu symptoms which also leave the body the same way.
Swollen lymph nodes: Treatments cannot be performed in areas where lymph nodes are swollen, infected, or not draining properly.
Oedema or localized swelling of limbs indicates poor lymphatic flow. Treatments are not designed to alleviate oedema and may in fact exacerbate the condition.
Active Infections & Immunosuppression: These factors compromise the healing ability of the body, and Ultrasound Cavitation should not be attempted until the infection or deficiency is cleared.
Liver, Kidney, or Heart Disease: Compromises the ability of the body to recover from treatments.
Severe hypertension, hyperlipidemia, diabetes mellitus, or poor circulation of blood and lymph.
Pregnancy: Sound waves generated by the treatment will very likely harm an unborn child’s hearing and may also result in compromising its immune system.
Breastfeeding: As mother’s milk draws nutrients from the body, there is an unacceptable degree of risk that toxins may pass into the milk and therefore be ingested by a nursing child.
Lymph nodes and joints cannot be treated with cavitation.
The face and neck cannot be treated with cavitation however RF can be.
Menstruation: During a period, the abdomen cannot be treated however other areas can be.
Metallic Implants: People who have metal implanted anywhere in their bodies, such as bone pins or pace makers cannot receive a treatment.
Skin allergies or inflammation: Areas with obvious signs of inflammation cannot be treated.
Minors: Due to the changing hormonal and fat deposits in the growing body during puberty, we do not treat clients under 18 years of age with Ultrasound Cavitation or Radio Frequency.
Yes.  This is a nonsurgical procedure that is non-invasive and requires no recovery time.

Ultra Cavitation is a safe, nonsurgical procedure without anesthesia, it is non-invasive ,no cutting, no scars and no downtime should be experienced after the treatment. Due to specific ultrasound parameters of energy levels ensure selective damage to fat cells only and do not interfere with any other organs. There is no report of side effects for these treatments. However some people may experience transient redness, excessive thirst, and nausea immediately after the treatment which always resolves by drinking water. They are all short-term effects that will disappear shortly.
Cavitation is not designed specifically to lose weight, more so to reshape the body.  It is particularly effective in the reduction of the adiposity (love handles) that are hard to reduce through diet and exercise.  The treatment offers similar results to liposuction as it removes the cellulite and prevents it from recurring without damaging the vascular system.
The cavitation treatment yields immediate and long lasting results. Ultra cavitation is a very effective procedure that requires only 6-12 treatments per area . Most clients experience noticeable circumference reduction after a single session with increasing results after each visit. The results may vary with different tissue structure, treatment area, age, metabolism, medications, and changes in hormones. Proper diet and increased physical activity will certainly improve and help to maintain the results.
Gradually over a number of weeks, the body will clear down the broken down fatty tissues which will result in a volume reduction of fatty tissues.  It is not uncommon to achieve results of up to a 10 cm reduction in body mass by the end of the course of treatments.  These results will be long lasting, provided you follow a healthy diet and exercise programme.  If you over eat or consume too much alcohol, fat can easily be deposited back in to the body.
Ultrasound Cavitation: 6-12 sessions spaced 72 hours apart for the first 3 sessions, then once a week.

Skin Tightening: 6-12 sessions spaced 48 hours apart for the first 3 sessions, then once a week.

After the initial treatments are completed, maintenance treatments consist of one session each month for 4 months followed by one treatment every 4 months
The fat is eliminated from the body approximately 3 – 5 days following the treatment, therefore an interval of one week is recommended.
The number of sessions depends on the client's age and skin condition. While you will see immediate results in the first session, it may be necessary to have between 3 and 12 sessions for optimum results. Clients who go through a series of treatments will see an improvement each time the treatment is performed.
On the day of your treatment do not consume any alcohol, fizzy drinks or caffeine. Avoid heavy meals immediately before and after treatment. We recommend drinking 6-8 glasses of water per day during your course of cavitation treatments.

Drinking water is a necessary part of the fat elimination process so we recommend drinking 1.5 litres of water both before and after each session. A low calorie diet and regular exercise should be maintained in order to aid the body in naturally passing the fat through it’s own natural filtration system.

PLEASE ENSURE YOU READ THE COMPLETE ARTICLE ON AFTERCARE
There are rarely any side effects, however there maybe the slight possibility of some transient redness, excessive thirst or nausea immediately after the treatment which can be resolved by simply drinking water.
Try to avoid doing anything that will irritate your skin immediately before treatment. This includes tanning (natural or artificial). It would be more likely to suffer pain from the addition of heat to the already damaged skin; however an established tan would be fine.

Do not have hot shower , bath or sauna right after the Ultrasound treatment.

We recommend a low calorie diet with protein in each meal and drink at least a glass of warm water (not carbonated, sparkling water, pop, coffee) before and after the session. Drinking plenty of water and having exercise such as brisk walk, biking or other aerobic activities for at least 3 days after the treatment to stimulate the lymphatic activity as elimination of the fat continues through the Lymphatic System for 72 hrs. Follow by a suitable exercise routine. Cavitation will be best performed under high hydration conditions, avoid taking any caffeine or diuretics 2 days before therapy. Drink a lot of water will help to improve your metabolism and increase urine output -- lipid metabolites release out of your body.

A lymph-draining massage is also encouraged to improve the circulation and lymphatic system, which helps to drain fluids.

For best results you should refrain from any alcohol consumption for 48 hours after the treatment. Alcohol consumption during this period may prevent your liver from removing the deactivated fat cells from your body (as the liver will assign priority to removing the alcohol from your blood).

Maintain an un-stressful life style also helps the body flush out the fat more efficiently.

Maintain a low calorie diet for a few days following the treatment to ensure the energy released is properly utilised and metabolised by the body. Drinking water is a necessary part of the treatment to facilitate the elimination of broken down fat.  After the treatment, patients are able to return to their daily activities as usual.
Essentially, Ultrasound Fat Cavitation is designed to destabilize and break down fat into carbohydrates and waste material. If not followed by exercise and plenty of water, the destabilized fat will reform and resettle.
Think of the process in simple terms. Fat and sound waves. If you put a tub of butter in the microwave and heat it, the butter destabilizes into liquid. If you leave it to sit however, it solidifies again.

The same applies to this treatment, and that’s why cardiovascular exercise and water are vital.

Cardio afterwards serves two purposes; to burn off the released carbohydrates, and to encourage the contraction and expansion of lymphatic vessels to channel out waste. Meanwhile, the water acts to thin that waste and to hasten its removal from the body through the urine.
The Ultrasonic Cavitation has the similar result as liposuction. It removes cellulite and excess fat. preventing this from recurring in the treated areas, without damaging the vascular system. The procedure is painless and is very inexpensive compared to the thousands of dollars you could spend on liposuction.
Cavitation Treatment Science image
The fat cavitation treatment is based on a safe ultrasound stimulation with small and large probes at the specific 1MHZ and 40KHz on the deeper visceral fats, which enables a local release of lipolytic hormone.

This is lipolysis, the natural process by which our fat reserves (from our fat cells) are transformed into energy to be used up by our body (muscles, cells) generally in the form of exercise within 6 hours of treatment.

This cavitation ultrasound procedure is suitable for small areas, such as arms around bra strap and muffin tops areas, or larger areas of the body, such as inner, outer front or back of thighs, tummy and buttocks. It is recommended to undertake 6-10 treatments spaced one per week to initially complete the course of treatments.

Apart from physical exercise and healthier nutritional choices, no other solution has been proven as effective to activate the natural way to lose fat; LIPOLYSIS. Lipolysis is the natural process that involves our fat reserves being transformed into energy and being used by our body.

FAT CAVITATION THE SCIENCE!

Fat Cavitation causes an emulsification of fat, it ruptures the fat cell membrane, thereby releasing its fat content, converting it into a substance easy to eliminate through sweat gland, liver and lymphatic system which eventually eliminate through urine.

WHAT RESULTS CAN I EXPECT FROM A CAVITATION ULTRASOUND?

Clients can expect local fat loss as the natural slimming process occurs. The ultrasonic fat cavitation treatment technique has proved very effective on any kind of fat; this includes visceral fats (intra-abdominal fats).

ARE THE EFFECTS LONG LASTING?

Yes, ultrasound stimulation bypasses our central nervous system (which controls the release of noradrenaline), hence no fat rebound effect is observed.

HOW LONG DOES THE ULTRASONIC FAT CAVITATION TAKE?

Approximately 30 minutes during which ultrasound gel is applied on targeted areas. The probe is then guided over the targeted area transmitting low level ultrasonic waves, which then sends impulses to the target area which travel in a circular motion. This motion then causes micro-bubbles which, in turn, start to collide and implode. Shock waves then cause the emulsification of fat cells. After the ultrasound treatment, released energy must be consumed with light aerobic exercise or any substitute effective at burning calories. According to individual targets, it is recommended to do a course of 6-10 treatments spaced a week a part.

1) Fat cavitation ultrasound stimulation

2) Local Noradrenaline Release

3) Lipolysis activation

4) Release of Free Fatty Acids and Glycerol (breakdown of fat) in blood stream

5) Energy consumption

6) Local and long lasting slimming effect

(subcutaneous and visceral fats)

PRE AND POST PROCEDURE REQUIREMENTS & INFORMATION FOR ENDERMOLOGIE, RF AND FAT CAVITATION TREATMENTS

Radio Frequency or RF is the localised heating of a specific area. This treatment has been in the medical industry for 30 years. It was quite an uncomfortable treatment in the past due to it being in the forms of mono polar and bi polar. The new TRIPOLLAR is like the sensation of a warm massage. This treatment has fairly immediate results with no downtime. The tissue is heated to a certain temperature that is constantly gauged by the therapist with the result being increased fibroblast cells thus tightening the skin and causing lipolysis (which is the fat cells being heated to drop excess liquid fat out of the localised area). Circumference loss, good skin texture, increased firmness and laxity are the positive results of this exciting and innovative new technology.

Fat cavitation is an ultrasound stimulation procedure with a small probe or large probe which is guided over the target area. Fat cells are excited to the point of collision and emulsification This in turn creates lipolysis activation. This then releases free fatty acids (FFA) and glycerol (breakdown of fat) in blood stream for easier energy consumption of subcutaneous and visceral fats, thus aiding a local and longer lasting slimming effect. The broken down fats are then expelled by way of the lymphatic and urinary systems.

PRE & POST TREATMENT REQUIREMENTS

It is really important to be well hydrated both before and after ultrasonic fat cavitation, so please drink plenty of water. Clients should be drinking 8-12 glasses of water per day normally.

Eat a moderate diet, obviously the more fresh fruit, vegetables and meat the better.

Clients may sometimes experience nausea in the initial stages of treatment as toxins have been pushed around the body.

Do not smoke. If you do, please ensure that you push your next cigarette time after treatment out gradually post treatment Medications, drugs and alcohol should not be consumed on the day of treatment. It is important to check with your therapist about your medications and be honest.

Please note it is of utmost importance that you get your individual heart rate up by exercising within 4–6 hours after fat cavitation and RF treatments as you want to use up the energy so fats do not resettle back in your system.

NO heating treatments are to be done on the day of procedure such as laser or pulsed light treatments in the local area.

Keep your therapist updated with any changed health issues, new medications or reactions as you continue with your treatments.

Choose appointments wisely as cancellation fees will strictly apply.

Fat Cavitation Ultrasound and RF can be used in a program together.

Ensure with Fat Cavitation Ultrasound you have good hydration pre and post treatment.

The Importance of Aftercare image
After care is crucial for achieving the best results from ultrasound fat cavitation treatments. The after care for ultrasound fat cavitation is detailed, however it is worth sticking to. The treatment will only work at its optimum if the after care is followed.

To ensure your body responds well to ultrasound fat cavitation, drink 1.5L of water prior to and following your treatment. Stagger 2L intake of water over 24 hours, for three days post-treatment.

The ultrasound fat cavitation treatment works by eliminating fat and toxins via the lymphatic and urinary systems. The body requires three days to properly eliminate the fat and toxins after a treatment. Treatment intervals also need to reflect this; at least three days must pass between each session. For most clients, I recommend a minimum of between six and ten fat cavitation treatments for best results.

It is important to topically stimulate the treatment area following your session. Use a body brush in the shower to promote movement around the area. Do this daily to prevent fat and toxins from becoming stagnant and difficult to eliminate.

Alcohol, caffeine and toxins MUST be avoided 2-3 days before and 2-3 after the treatment. The lymphatic system and liver must be in optimum condition to process waste from the body during this time.

Maintaining a low calorie, low carbohydrate, low fat, and low sugar diet for 24 hours pre-treatment and three days post-treatment will help achieve the best results. This is to ensure your body utilizes the triglycerides (a type of body fat) released by the fat cavitation process. If suitable, I also encourage my clients to stick to this diet as much as they can. Many find this to be a great starting point for maintaining a healthier lifestyle in the future.

A minimum of 30 minutes of elevated heart rate cardio exercise is required post-treatment. This is best to be done immediately after the treatment, and for three days following. This is to ensure the stored energy released by the cavitation process is burnt off. If cardio is not your style, this where infrared sauna sessions may assist, as it has a similar effect on the body.

Additional steps can be taken to achieve optimum results. You can assist your body to flush toxins by following your treatment with the use of an infrared sauna. Lymphatic drainage will help eliminate released toxins from the body. This can be done post-treatment via a massage or using the cavitation vacuum treatment.
Lipo Laser imageLipo Laser image
What is laser liposuction?

A relatively new twist on traditional liposuction, laser liposuction uses laser energy to liquefy pockets of excess fat before it’s suctioned out through a thin tube. The liquefied fat is easier to remove, making this a less aggressive procedure with a potentially faster recovery and smoother skin. It does have risks, so if you’re considering laser lipo, you’ll want an experienced surgeon.
Also known as: Laser Lipo, Lipoplasty, Laser-Assisted Liposuction

Laser lipolysis (lipo) is a cosmetic procedure to remove body fat. It was first approved for use in 2006 and since then there have been a number of developments in the different types available. The laser lipo suction technique uses lasers to break up fat before its removal from the body, reducing the need for harsh suction. It has become a commonly adopted and accepted modality for removal of unwanted fatty tissue and is claimed to be as effective as traditional liposuction without a hospital stay.

Laser lipo is marketed on the basis that it is a quick and effective way of getting rid of the unwanted flab. It is meant to be a less invasive procedure and the effects are permanent since the fat cells are inactivated by the laser beam, leaving them incapable of storing fat any more. One commonly promoted advantage of laser lipo is fast patient recovery, with some clinics advising that you can be back at work within two days. Despite these findings, some clinicians have been reluctant to accept laser lipo, citing longer procedural times, increased risk of adverse reactions and lack of evidence supporting superiority over traditional liposuction.

Laser Liposuction Technique Melts Fat and Tightens Skin

For those seeking trimmer bodies with minimal effort, liposuction is one of the most popular fast-fixes. But like anything that seems too good to be true, the fat-reduction procedure comes with a few drawbacks, especially if your skin can't take up the slack. Pockets of sagging skin may defeat the purpose of using cosmetic surgery to bust hard-to-reach fat.

That’s where the newly designed technique of laser lipolysis comes in, picking up where traditional liposuction leaves off. Researchers believe this enhanced technique could be the key to optimum body sculpting.

How Does It Work?

Laser lipolysis is a minimally invasive procedure that uses heat from fiber-optic lasers at various wavelengths to melt body fat. This is a different process than liposuction, which involves removing fat from the body using vacuum suction. The added benefit of laser lipolysis is that it spurs the production of the protein collagen, making skin more taut.

Clinical results were drawn from the laser lipolysis and liposuction procedures of more than 2,000 patients over a three-year span. Researchers found that patients overall lost significant fat bulk in different parts of the body and saw an increase in skin tightness. Clients didn’t suffer from any major complications, though some complained of minor pain and bruising.

Is laser liposuction right for me?

You could be a good liposuction candidate if you’re a healthy, nonsmoking adult who has:

  • a BMI (body mass index) of 30 or below
  • a desire for fat reduction and body contouring in a few specific areas
  • good skin tone and elasticity
